The
conference will be hosted by Yeditepe University, at the Doga Holiday
Resort in the beautiful nearby town of Sile. (For travel between Istanbul
city center, airports and Sile, please see Travel and
Social).
Sile is a small, pleasant holiday town that lies 50km from Istanbul
(Anatolian side) on the Black Sea coast. The white sandy beaches are
easily accessible from the main highway. The town itself is placed on a
clifftop over looking the bay. There is an interesting French-built
black-and-white striped lighthouse, and 14th century Genoese castle on the
nearby island. Apart from its popular beaches, the town is also famous for
its craft; Sile bezi, a white muslin fabric a little like cheesecloth,
which the local women embroider and sell their products on the street, as
well as all over Turkey.

For detailed information about Sile and its
neighboring resort, Agva, please refer to the official web site at

Doga is a holiday village located away from
the sea coast, as a safe haven to those who wish to spend quality time
with nature. It is mostly known for its miniature copies of many
Turkish cultural treasures, such as Ephesus amphitheater. Its many
villas, small lake, swans, basketball, voleyball and tennis courts provide
the opportunity of a secluded hide-away, as well as the perfect spot for
workshops and teambuilding activities.
